Hi, I'm Donna.
Fun Facts about me:
- I am a quirky awkward human.
- Music all day long. (And mostly not what you think I listen to).
- I have a slight obsession with Shoes and Clothes (The colourful and weirder the better).
- I go outside sometimes; to hike, to forage (mushrooms and teas), to fish, to float in a boat/kayak, to camp (summer & winter) and to BE at music festivals.
- my “scrolling” includes Pinterest (to gather new hobbies and not follow through) and online shop for clothes and shoes (aka putting things in carts and never buy). And researching anything of any topic.
- I am mastering the fine art of thrift store shopping.
- I like to bake. Or Procrastibake, as I call it. Sometimes cookies are more important.
- I am a sucker for documentaries. Most of my awkward convos start with “I saw this on a documentary once…”
- My fave places to be in or be photographing in is: the magical mystical forests, the vastness of an open field, in or near water, or in a nearby junk pile or rock pile.
- I squeal and flail my arms or kick up my legs when crazy amazing images are made. With the exception of when it is inappropriate, I’ll hold it in until later.
- I call on my husband, Shayne, to be my light modifying, dress fluffing assistant and my support animal at photo sessions, he keeps me in line.
- I do have actual animals: Ferdinand "Ferdie" the dog, and Frankie the cat.
- My mantra: ”It’s never too late to be what you might have been.” A student of Engineering at U of S, turned Certified Cosmetologist & Nail Technician, turned Graduate of Professional Photography via New York Institute of Photography. Photography has always been my passion, ever since childhood. I really should've just started with that.
